Welcome to the Mystic River Inn. To ensure a seamless, luxurious, and relaxing stay at the historic Captain’s Row area of Downtown Mystic, we have compiled the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in begins at 4:00pm, and check-out is any time prior to 11:00am.

Because of our enhanced, meticulous cleaning protocols, early arrivals and late departures are strictly subject to availability and must be pre-approved by our team. To ensure suites are perfectly prepared for arriving guests, late check-outs without prior approval are subject to a $50 half-hourly fee after 11:00am.

We wish for your departure to be as effortless as your stay. Before 11:00am, please ensure all windows and doors are fully shut and locked. There is no need to strip the beds or gather linens—our housekeeping team will attend to all suite servicing.

For your convenience, should you need to dispose of any refuse during your stay with us, designated receptacles are discreetly located near the parking area exit.

To offer our guests ultimate privacy and convenience, we utilize a contactless check-in system. You will receive secure access details prior to your arrival. Our exterior doors are equipped with auto-locking mechanisms for your security.

Location, Transportation & Parking

Yes! We offer one complimentary, off-street parking space per suite. To accommodate arriving guests, please note that this parking space is available for your use only during your active reservation hours. All parking is at your own risk.

Absolutely. For our eco-conscious travelers, we offer on-site electric vehicle charging. Our charging stations are equipped with both J1772 and NACS (Tesla) charging connectors, ensuring compatibility with nearly all modern electric vehicles.

Not at all! The Mystic River Inn boasts a Walk Score of 100. You are steps away from the iconic Mystic Bascule Drawbridge, and within a five-minute walk to world-class dining options (such as S&P Oyster Restaurant, Sift Bake Shop, Oyster Club, and Red 36) and boutique shopping.

Suites & Accommodations

While our suites do not have full kitchens, they are appointed with luxury “Refreshment Centers”. This includes a custom wet bar, beverage chiller, mini-fridge, microwave, and a premium coffee & tea station to elevate your morning and evening experiences.

Yes, complimentary high-speed wireless internet (500+ Mbps) is included with all suites at the Mystic River Inn, allowing you to stay connected or stream your favorite entertainment on your suite’s 50″ Smart HDTV.

While we strive to provide excellent connectivity, please note that our historic coastal location may on rare occasions cause service fluctuations beyond our control.

We respect the privacy of our guests and strive to provide a contactless, uninterrupted experience. Your suite will be thoroughly cleaned and stocked prior to your arrival with premium amenities (luxury linens, towels, designer bath products and coffee/tea).

Should you need housekeeping for your room, or to replenish your amenities, simply contact the Mystic River Inn via the contact methods provided in your booking email and we will make arrangements to refresh your space.

Yes! Our Mariner’s Suite #103 is located on the ground floor and features barrier-free luxury design. It includes wide doorways, accessible clearances, and a spa-inspired roll-in shower with designer grab bars and a roll-under vanity.

Property Policies & Etiquette

To maintain our pristine, allergen-free environment, the Mystic River Inn maintains a no-pet policy in all Suites except for Mariner’s Suite #103.

Service animals are allowed in all suites, we request that individuals requiring the assistance of a service animal provide notice at the time of booking, to ensure our housekeeping staff may properly clean your Suite after checkout for future guests. 

Families are welcome at the Mystic River Inn! However, please note that our historic property is not child-proofed. We do have a pack-n-play travel crib available for use (located in the suite closet). If used, please leave it visible upon check-out so that our housekeeping staff may sanitize it for future guests.

No. To preserve our historic property, the Mystic River Inn is a 100% smoke-free environment. Smoking, vaping, and marijuana use are strictly prohibited everywhere on the premises, including porches and shared spaces. Violations will result in a $500 deep-cleaning and restoration fee.

We offer a tranquil retreat for all Mystic River Inn guests, and strictly prohibit parties, events and excessive noise. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy. For your safety, and to comply with state occupancy and tax regulations, the total number of guests on the property must never exceed the limit explicitly listed on your reservation.

To ensure a restorative experience for all guests, property-wide quiet hours are observed daily from 10:00pm to 7:00am.

Commercial photography, videography and brand shoots are not permitted on the property without prior, written consent from management.

Guest safety is our top priority. We utilize 24/7 exterior security cameras strictly monitoring the parking and arrival areas. Additionally, all suites are equipped with 3rd-party monitored smoke, carbon monoxide, and temperature systems. Tampering with any safety devices is strictly prohibited.
